First Look Film Festival

It's Easter Weekend!! I find myself wanting to pack Easter eggs, hold an Easter Egg Hunt, then find all the eggs haha! I should probably just buy the candy and lose the eggs.

This month has treated me so well, and I can't believe it'll be April next week. With the win at Asians on Film Festival, and the interview with Kat Iniba next week, I couldn't be happier to hear the news that Mango Sticky Rice has been officially nominated at the First Look Film Festival at USC. This festival is very special to me, in that I get to stand beside my fellow classmates, and share our films together as grad students one last time. The films featured in First Look are a collection of advanced projects from different cohort, meaning that my classmates from previous semesters are coming back!

Real Boy, a film I Production Designed with my good friend, also got nominated! I met some of my favorite people on Real Boy, so I'm excited that my Mango family and my Real Boy family will be altogether on the same night. Mango Sticky Rice will be screening Wednesday, April 13th at 8:15pm, and Real Boy will be screening later that night at 9:00pm.

I feel so lucky to be where I am. And incredibly happy with the opportunities coming my way!
